Find your symptom to see the most likely cause.
Most likely cause: ductwork that isn’t getting enough air to that room.
See ductwork repair →Most likely cause: ductwork and return air that weren’t designed for the second floor.
See ductwork repair →Most likely cause: an AC that’s cooling but not removing enough moisture.
See humidity control →Most likely cause: a system that’s mis-sized, starved for airflow or set up wrong.
See the performance checkup →Most likely cause: moisture and mold growing inside the AC system.
See mold in AC →Most likely cause: energy wasted by the system, the ducts or the home itself.
See the energy audit →Most AC service checks whether your system is working: it turns on, the refrigerant is right and the parts run. That’s why so many homeowners hear “your AC is fine.”
But comfort depends on performance, meaning how much cool, dry air actually reaches each room. That depends on how the system was sized, how the ductwork was designed and installed, and how well your home keeps the cool air in.
If your house isn’t comfortable, something isn’t performing, even if everything is working.

When a room won’t cool, most people turn the thermostat lower. Some rooms get too cold, the problem room stays hot, and the bill goes up.
The problem isn’t the setting. It’s where the cool air is going, and how much of it actually gets there.
You’re not imagining it. If your home doesn’t feel right, something is causing it, and it can be measured.
Temperature, humidity and airflow, room by room, plus how the system is actually performing.
In plain language, with the numbers, and the price before any work begins.
Ductwork, humidity control, system setup or sizing, whatever your home actually needs.
We measure again, so you can see the difference in every room.

Look up FL HVAC Services on Google and you’ll see a line most AC companies don’t have: “Home energy auditing recognized by the US Dept. of Energy.” Tap it and the Energy Skilled badge pops up, with a link to Energy.gov.
Nobody can add that to a business listing themselves. Not us, and not a marketing company. The U.S. Department of Energy verifies the credential and reports it to Google, and Google puts it on the listing.
What it means for your home: we look at your house and your AC as one system. How outside air leaks in, how humidity builds up, how air moves from room to room, and why some homes end up with stale, stuffy air that makes people feel worse inside than out. Then we design and fix your system for what your home actually needs.

Most often it’s the ductwork. The duct feeding that room may be too small, kinked, leaking or too long, so the room never gets the air it needs. Turning the thermostat down won’t fix it.
Heat rises and the attic is right above you, but the bigger problem is usually ductwork and return air that weren’t designed to deliver enough cooling to the second floor.
Common causes are ductwork that restricts airflow, a system that’s the wrong size for the home, or air leaks letting hot air in. We measure to find which one it is.
Your AC is supposed to remove moisture as it cools. When the system is oversized or airflow isn’t right, it cools without drying the air, and the house feels sticky.
They’re probably right that it’s working. But working isn’t the same as performing. Comfort depends on how much cool, dry air reaches each room, and that’s where ductwork, sizing and installation come in.
Not if the cause is the ductwork or the home. A new system connected to the same ducts often has the same problems. That’s why we find the cause first.
