When this homeowner moved in, the house had a much bigger air conditioner than it needed, a high power bill, and a window unit running in one room because that room never had ductwork. The bigger system still couldn't keep that room comfortable.
We replaced it with a smaller 2-ton system, chosen for what this house actually needs, and corrected the ductwork as part of the installation. The result: the window unit is gone, and the room with no ductwork now stays the same temperature as the rest of the house.
This is what we mean when we say a unit is only as good as it's installed. Bigger isn't better. The right system, installed correctly, cools the whole house evenly and costs less to run.

Homeowner: It's a game changer. I mean, look at this. Do you see this behind me? It's not a very pretty sight. Got to have it taken out and put a nice stained glass window back in.
But this here is kind of like my testimonial to George, for this new house I just moved into. The people who lived here before, with the prior air conditioner, had a much bigger air conditioner than the one that George put in. But with that big air conditioner and a fairly high bill, they still needed to run this in this room, because they never put any ductwork in here.
George: Which happens a lot here.
Homeowner: Yeah. With no ductwork, there's no way to run the air, so they ran this little box back here. But I don't need to run this little box with a two-ton in now.
George: Two-ton, yeah.
Homeowner: I don't need to run this with a two-ton, because it's done right, with the right efficient system. I don't need that, and this room stays as cool as the rest of the house even though it has no ductwork. So that's pretty amazing.
George: Same temperature without running that, right. We made modifications to the ductwork and things like that, and the type of system we put in.
Homeowner: Yeah, it's huge. Significant.
